The Camanche Classic is one of the midwest’s oldest annual 5K’s and is thought of as a prestigious local road racing event. The Camanche Classic committee continues to manage this American classic, through sponsorship by multiple area businesses since 1985. The Camanche Classic has distinguished itself as a time-honored event within the sport of road racing by merit of its traditions , endurance, and method of gaining some of the areas’ top talents to compete and raise money for benefit of impacting it local community organizations. This years race profits’ will be used to donate to the Camanche Public Library as well as continuing tradition with aiding area veterans.
Twenty nine years after its inauguration, the Camanche Classic continues to be a leader within the sport of competitive road racing and annually carries on the tradition of the Camanche Classic. The Camanche Classic promotes a health conscious lifestyle through the support of online health coaching, youth health tips, and annual running programs.
